From the Manufacturer
2012 marks the 30th anniversary of s scratch build original model named "Armored Fighting Suit" created by a Japanese sci-fi illustrator, Kow Yokoyama, which appeared in the May issue of Hobby Japan magazine in 1982. Due to the huge reaction from readers, Yokoyama’s universe delineated by scratch built models and illustrations to became a monthly installment of the magazine as a "SF3D Original". A series of twenty one plastic models were released from Japanese model company, Nitto, until the end of the installment in Dec 1985. In 1998, "SF3D" was renamed as "Maschinen Krieger". Taking this opportunity, previous plastic models ware reproduced and a new monthly installment was started on Model Graphix magazine. New model kits have been released one after another since 2006. Yokoyama's works are highly evaluated not only in Japan but around the world.
