Modern Gendaito Tanto Dagger in shirasaya with a length of 22.6 cm by sword smith "Kikuichitsutsumi Naga saku" also having a 0.3 cm sori curvature and one hole for mounting in the tang of the sword. This Nihonto is in good polish with a striking hamon tempering pattern and a unique shape for a tanto dagger as the curvature can be seen in the mune (back side of the blade) as opposed to a straight mune with little to no curvature that most tanto possess. This blade was registered in Fukuoka Prefecture on April 15, 2004. Also inscribed on the tang on the reverse side from the meibun signature of the swordsmith is the date (Shin) 4 June 1930. This blade has NBTHK Honzon certification attesting to its Provenance. I would be happy to explain the care and maintenance of this blade if you are new to Nihonto and also provide you a free "maintenance starter kit" for its preservation. This blade is available for delivery or viewing to Kadena, Foster, or Courtney bases and surrounding areas upon request. Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in viewing or acquiring this blade. Cheers, John
