Pickups: Seymour Duncan JB (Trembucker spacing) in the bridge position, a G&L twin blade in the middle (a single coil sized humbucker meant to sound like a single coil), and a Seymour Duncan 59' in the neck position.
Controls: 5-position blade selector, Volume, Tone, mini switch to split coils
These guitars are a bit of a departure for G&L as they are less traditional S and T style, and more modern in form and function, more in the vein of a Suhr Modern or Jackson Soloist. Still made in the USA with great build quality, this top of the line model retailed for approximately $2600.00 back in 2007.
The body is finished in clear orange color. The headstock is finished to match the body and includes locking tuners.
The hardtail bridge is the G&L Saddle-Lock bridge which has an Allen screw that comes in from the lower side of the bridge to lock the saddles together after intonation adjustments have been made. There is a master volume and master tone, along with a mini switch that splits the Duncan humbuckers into single coils (The middle pickup does not split, as it already sounds like a single coil pickup). A five-way pickup switch completes the package. A very versatile guitar.
The guitar is another Case Queen and is in excellent condition, kept in the original G&L tweed case.
The output jack was shorting out, I replaced it with a Pure Tone PTT5 Pure Tone Barrel Jack - Nickel. Included is a NIB Allparts Switchcraft Long Threaded Barrel Jack Mono Single is included along with original tools.
