Why Ask?

I frequently see items for sale on here that I am interested in, but the seller is asking way too much, so I just pass the items up. Then after a couple of weeks of no buyers, the seller lowers the price -- and does so again in a couple more weeks. Sellers, you are making a big mistake by doing this -- Why, because most people are impulse buyers. A lot of people are like me: when I see items overpriced and pass them up, I rarely ever give them a second look, even when I see the seller has come down -- sometimes way, way down -- on the price. The reason why I don't give those items a second look is because you, the seller, have given me time to think, do I really want this item? Basically, by overpricing, you are losing sales.

My advice is this: Decide the least amount you will take for an item, ask that, and say the price is firm. Your items are much more likely to sell, as opposed to you being stuck with them.

My last piece of advice: DO NOT EVER ask for "offers." If you don't know how much money you need to get for an item, do not ask potential buyers for their offers -- it simply does not work. This is precisely why there are so many items listed week after week after week -- because nobody makes offers! If you are unsure what something you are selling is worth, list your best price along with the word "negotiable" so people know you are flexible on the price.

Enough said. Good luck!
