Bike
Small Trek Marlin frame powered by a Luna upgraded 1500 watt BBSHD mid drive. It has a brand new Shimano Cues groupset and fresh shimano metal brake pads powered by hydraulic disc brakes with built in brake sensors in both levers to shut off the motor when stopping. The front rotor is a TRP 203mm.
Performance
It goes about 45 kmph under its own power on pedal assist level 3 and can go faster with full throttle. The pedal assist is divided into four levels. The throttle provides 1500 watts of variable power on all four levels. Level 0 operates like a regular bicycle. Level 1 operates like a regular 250 watt ebike. Level 2 operates like a regular 500 watt ebike. Level 3 operates like a regular 1000 watt ebike.
Battery
It is powered by a 52 volt 20 ampere hour battery that comes with a Luna smart charger that allows you to plug in different tips, as well as adjust how it charges the battery. You can adjust the point that it charges the battery to from 80% to 100%, as well as the charging amperage from 1 to 5 amperes. The charger has a smart circuit that balances the cells as the battery charges. The bike has about a 100 km range on pedal assist 1 with no load and average (about 250 sustained watts) of rider input. On pedal assist 3 with minimal throttle use and minimal rider input will provide about 40 km of range on a full charge towing a moderate trailer load (20ish kg).
Extras
For extras, it's got Lekkie cranks and a Lekkie grease cover, rearview mirrors, a built in tail light on a reinforced battery rack to handle a heavy battery jostling around at high speeds, a RockBros phone pouch and a $1,200 Burley Coho XC trailer setup.
Disclaimer
Everything has been serviced on this bike so that it is ready for another full life of use except for replacing the battery. The battery is old and may survive another year of heavy use but I would not expect it to last any longer than that. I will introduce the buyer to the bike shop where I did all the upgrades and servicing so that you can replace the battery when needed and keep it working like new.
This is an ideal setup for anyone wanting to explore the island during their last year in Okinawa. I can take care of disposing the battery for you and helping to box the bike when you leave. I will show you which battery to order to your destination that installs in place of the old one so that when you arrive you won't need to find a bike shop to have a fresh battery.
Although the frame is small, I am comfortable on it with the seat at the height shown in the pictures, and I am 5ft 10in tall. I can boost the handlebars if needed.
