Good morning,
About a year ago I had a cat show up at my house. It looked like he may have been dumped. He was clean, a good weight, and not afraid of humans. After about a week, he walked into my house where two golden retrievers live. I tried to identify the owner, but was not able to find them.
I have done my best to integrate Max into the family. He is not the problem. My male golden retriever is not able to stay calm around the cat. He wants to play with Max like he is a 70 pound dog.
Max is isolated in a separate room until I go to bed. He deserves better and I am hoping he can find a new home. My only concern is Max bites. I am not sure if it is pent up energy, anger, play, or a little bit of all three. I would not recommend a family with small children.
I made sure he is vaccinated and chipped. The vet estimated his age around 4 (January 2024).
I am not the type of person that gives up on a pet, or dumps one, and Max deserves so much better. I am relocating to Tokyo in February and traveling with three pets is not an option.
