Edo Period Katana in Unique Ribbed Koshirae

63 cm length Katana sword from Edo period , Mumei unsigned by sword smith maker. Great sori curvature with nice form and shape. Amazing hamon tempering pattern with hataraki activity known as “utsuri” a smoke like pattern that follows the hamon tempering pattern. The saya scabbard koshirae is of modern design in black shiny ribbed pattern with elegantly carved fuchi koshira and open work tauba sword guard. Menuki sword handle ornaments are of the Buddhist sword handle symbol. Same’ ray skin handle has black urushi lacquer applied to the ray skin in the tsuka handle. Hamaki
