1999, AWD all the time. Automatic with silly but fun +/- shifting. Excellent, solid twin turbo boxer engine that is extremely quick off the line with fantastic acceleration when needed. Not many around anymore. This vehicle has been a joy to drive (especially in the rain ;-). Currently 150,5xxKM. Several imperfections both inside and out due to age, but these don’t personally bother me. Tires still have great tread. Oil has been changed regularly every 4000KM. No power locks (but you can buy and replace a black box keyless continuous module unit for keyless entry). Dashboard lights and gauges flicker every once in awhile and the needles fluctuate at times. I was informed by Subaru that it needs a new wiring harness behind the dashboard. I also was informed that these are common issues with these vehicles. I just use the odometer after every fill up (400KM/tank) and the lights flickering/fluctuating/locks don’t bother me, so I never got them fixed. JCI is still valid until 11/18/8 (this coming November 18 - 9 months left). Of course road tax has been paid (and cheaper due to being a 500 plate). To those interested, this vehicle would be eligible for PCS shipping due to being older than 25 years, however, I do think that the gauges and flickering would have to be repaired before shipping though. The car has a very strong engine and I’ve never had any problems getting anywhere. It has always passed its JCI without issues.
